Hyatt Hotels to open nearly 90 new luxury and lifestyle hotels across Asia Pacific
Hyatt Hotels Company has recently announced its deals to expand the firm’s luxury and way of living brand accounts across Asia Pacific. Over the upcoming five years, Hyatt intends to open up close to 90 properties, which include the debut of the Thompson Hotels brand in the region.
At the same time, Hyatt’s Andaz label will present Andaz Gold Coast, an incorporated resort in Australia, and Andaz One Bangkok, which are going to be located in Lumphini Park within the One Bangkok growth. In Shanghai, the brand will also include a 2nd property with the opening of Andaz Shanghai ITC later on this year.
In August, the group’s Park Hyatt label will make its Malaysian debut with Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. Located atop The Merdeka 118, the tallest high-rise building in Asia Pacific, the hotel will supply a number of cooking experiences. Park Hyatt Tokyo will likewise reopen in 4Q2025, following a 17-month enhancement effort.
This is anticipated to follow alongside significant brand-new entries and growth for Andaz, The Standard and Park Hyatt companies across essential destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.
Ever since 2017, the group has also increased the amount of deluxe rooms, tripled its hotel suites, and increased its lifestyle suites five-fold internationally. Carina Chorengel, chief vice president of commercial real properties in Asia Pacific at Hyatt, notes that luxury today pays attention to providing real and exceptional experiences. “Our recently refined brand architecture and expansion in deluxe and lifestyle accounts enable us to cater to critical tourists with emphasis and distinction.”
Looking ahead, the group will introduce Park Hyatt Phu Quoc, the first Park Hyatt hotel in Vietnam, which is expected to open in 1Q2026. Spanning 160 acres of land, the resort is located just a 30-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport. Hotel centers are readied to feature 2 dining outlets, a bar, a pool side barbeque, two swimming pools, a lakeside medical spa, and a health club house with a swimming pool.
The growth begins the back of the growing need for the luxury travel industry inside Asia Pacific. According to the group, 64% of Hyatt’s Asia Pacific portfolio consists of deluxe and upper-upscale hotels and resorts.
Complying with Hyatt’s procurement of Standard International in 2024, the team will also present The Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien. The resort is set to open in 3Q2025, and will include a 60s-inspired beach club visual.
The Thompson Hotels label, which came from Manhattan, is anticipated to make its Asia Pacific entrance with Thomspon Shanghai Expo, which is booked to begin in 4Q2025. Inspired by the city’s commercial roots and cosmopolitan strength, the resort is readied to include social experiences in addition to a rooftop with live entertainment and numerous occasions.
