Wing Tai partners Pathlight School to turn River Green’s hoardings into vibrant student art showcase

Property developer Wing Tai Asia released on April 15 that it has partnered with Pathlight School on a town initiative at its upcoming non commercial project, River Green. The 525-unit plan at River Valley Green in prime District 9, is anticipated to be launched at some time in 2H2025.

The alliance with Pathlight School will take the form of an art challenge for its secondary and vocational track students. The effort intends to change the hoardings all over the River Green construction location into “a vibrant, sprawling neighborhood art canvas, show off the skill and creativeness of Pathlight School students,” Wing Tai mentioned in a press release.

Wing Tai secured the government land sales (GLS) site at River Valley Green (Parcel A) in June in 2024 with a bid of merely under $464 million, or $1,325 per square foot per plot ratio (psf ppr).

It notes Pathlight’s very first collaboration with a property developer to showcase its students’ artwork on this type of a system and scale.

” While hoardings usually work as safety and noise boundaries, we are delighted to change them right into a lively canvas featuring art work motivated by the River Valley and Singapore River precincts,” he adds. “This initiative presents an one-of-a-kind possibility to involve with the neighborhood community and honor the creative thinking and skill of budding young artists from Pathlight School.”

According to Linda Kho, senior principal of Pathlight School, “Art is a strong kind of self-expression that permits our students to provide their unique perspectives.” She adds that the joint effort with Wing Tai showcases the students’ skills, constructs their esteem, and motivates them to further establish their artistic drives.

The competition’s concept will focus on River Green’s environments– integrating the Singapore River, the River Valley area, and the area’s architectural ancestry. It was introduced in early April, coinciding with Autism Awareness Month. Winning and chosen avenues will be presented on River Green’s 200m hoarding around Kim Seng Linear Park for the next 3 years.

” Art has constantly been a defining element of Wing Tai’s developments– connecting and enhancing the community whilst increasing the setting,” says Edmund Cheng, deputy chairman of Wing Tai Holdings.
