Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar

A public tender to rent the real estate, now handled by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was released in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based upon the bid price and the quality of the proposed idea, and SLA encouraged prospective buyers to consider fresh lifestyle principles.

Locals of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy infinite and courtesy access to the property’s health and wellness facilities, including the performance fitness center, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot baths.

The site was granted to Bethesda Medical, which submitted a per month rental quote of $103,000, the third-highest quote rate after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).

“By mixing contemporary benefits with the timeless beauty of a heritage building, we’re offering guests a special lifestyle journey that exceeds traditional lodging,” adds Wong.

Kada at Maxwell will likely use a range of spaces, including en suite studios and 2- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a completely set up kitchen space. Guests can book rooms on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month option even readily available.

The flexible home is located within a preserved 1920s colonial building. The three-storey building, created by the architectural company Swan & Maclaren, was one of the oldest modernist buildings in Singapore. It was built to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.

In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong indicated that the firm was trying to add even more short-term living alternatives to its local lineup. The first real estates under the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both released in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept involve Habyt Cantonment and Owen Residence by Habyt.

Habyt has recently launched a new accomodation spot at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship space for the operator’s Habyt Flex concept, which offers a strategic growing of the company’s product offerings beyond long-term co-living.

SLA cited Bethesda’s solid concentrate on neighborhood structure and connecting people with businesses as what gave its concept the succeeding edge. The first level is going to feature 10 F&B offerings, while the second ground will house a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working space. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell gets on the 3rd level.

Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s dedication to redefining versatile living in Singapore and notes its change towards the next stage of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell will begin at $180 per night.
